En el 2014, Vargas Llosa estuvo en el mismo escenario en el que estuvo ella, pero él estando sometido a una violencia de otras proporciones que no tiene nada que ver con un hombre cualquiera que detrás de unos gritos tímidos le exige al escritor que pase la voz (ver video). Por allá en aquel mayo un hombre del público se para y le reclama al peruano su relación con Álvaro Uribe Vélez. Él, muy respetuoso, trata de responderle de la mejor manera. El hombre, luego de unos segundos improperios hacia el Nobel, coge uno de sus libros y lo rompe desde su puesto, de pie y mirándolo fijamente, gritando también, cosa que no hizo el hombre al que Sanín retó y humilló. El peruano no se paró en los cabellos a lamentarse por elucubraciones paranoicas y fantasiosas, demostrando así una madurez digna de un escritor. Signo de madurez es también reconocer que hoy en día tiene más fuerza la inteligencia, el discurso, el conocimiento y el capital político, social, económico o de otra índole, en términos de Bordieu, que el sexo que una determinada persona pueda representar; eso déjenselo a los siglos pasados.
Se equivoca Sanín cuando dice que si a Mauricio le hubieran gritado, seguramente lo hubieran linchado. Al Nobel le rompieron un libro en la cara, insulto que considero mucho más grave en la medida en que es como asesinarlo simbólicamente, o al menos una antesala de eso, y muy bien le dijo Vargas Llosa: se empieza rompiendo libros y se termina matando gente, y acto seguido le agradece por romper la monotonía de ese tipo de eventos.
En cuanto a la reacción del público, en ambos escenarios fue totalmente igual, aunque con una leve diferencia. En los dos espacios el público abucheó e intentó callar al hombre que abruptamente interrumpe, y en ambas situaciones fue aplaudido y defendido el escritor. La leve diferencia tiene que ver con que al hombre de Sanín no lo abordó la policía porque evidentemente no estaba encolerizado ni representaba un peligro. En este orden de ideas, apostaría lo poco que tengo, para asegurar que si le hubieran dicho “Maricón, cállese” a Mauricio, no lo hubieran linchado sino que hubiera sucedido lo mismo, o quizá él, como Vargas Llosa, hubiera actuado con tal madurez.
Todo esto para decir que hoy muchas mujeres están más preocupadas por buscar indicios de machismo y patriarcado que por hacer bien su tarea, que si la hacen bien, seguramente serán reconocidas igual que cualquier hombre, bien sea la tarea de escritora, de columnista, de ministra, de maestra o de presidenta. Hay muchos casos para ejemplificar que sí tienen voz, representación y poder: Dilma Rousseff, que no la van a sacar de su puesto por ser mujer; Angela Merkel, una de las mujeres más poderosas del mundo o Christine Lagarde, directora del FMI, también muy poderosa, y quizá tengamos a Hillary Clinton en la cabeza de la potencia del mundo; y en el campo de la opinión y el periodismo están Jimena Duzán, Yolanda Reyes, Margarita Rosa de Francisco, Salud Hernández, María Isabel Rueda (culpable de la expulsión de Gómez Pinilla de Semana), e incluso Vicky Dávila, que la sacaron de La FM no por ser mujer sino porque no supo jugar. Si son talentosas, eso las llevará a brillar, y no por su ausencia.
Finalmente, refutando a quienes no me van a responder porque no soy muy importante, no porque sea hombre, sino porque no tengo el suficiente capital de mediático como si lo tienen otros (ambos sexos), le digo a Sanín que obvio que en este país produce nerviosismo cuando habla una mujer, pero no porque sea una mujer, sí por el poder que puedan tener, como Claudia López que pone a temblar a cuanto político le ponga la lupa. Ahora, señora Yolanda Reyes, Sanín sí fue grosera y también se exageró, porque es verdad, tampoco era para tanto.
